"P & L Louttit Total Construction Services involvement in the project commenced in late 2012 during the preliminary tendering stages, and continued through to April 2014 when the finished home was successfully handed over to the clients. Peter & Lee formed a highly professional construction management team that provided significant “value adds” to every stage of the project. This professional approach contributed heavily to the high quality outcome of the project, and the beautifully crafted qualities that the home now espouses in its finished form. The on-site management was undertaken with the meticulous attention to detail that was both desired and necessary to coordinate the complex array of trades and bespoke detailing of the home.

The project involved a number of details generally uncommon to domestic construction including:

  •  Steel primary frame;

  •  Vertical hardwood cladding over doubled stud & LVL framing;

  •  Commercial grade window systems and wall lining details;

  •  Oversized flush jamb sliding panels and glazed doors;

  •  Use of wood fired hydronic boiler unit;

  •  Integration of hidden switching networks for audio/visual;

  •  Hidden pelmets and electric blind operation; amongst others

Peter’s wide ranging experience across commercial, public and residential projects was a key quality that allowed for successful delivery of the details noted above. Peter was a constant and patient sounding board for BWA, particularly with regard to queries about building in an exposed, harsh coastal environment. Peter & Lee’s experience in dealing with the local context was absolutely crucial to the success of the project and I strongly recommend that this experience be highly favoured in the consideration of future tenders".

"P & L Total Construction Services worked with me in 2018 on my home at Rosedale, designed by leading Australian mid-century and modernist architect Bert Read to add a second bathroom and bring forward a range of improvements. This was an intricate and specialist project and both Peter and Lee guided and managed the work from design, through approvals and then construction.

In this project Peter assisted bring my home into bushfire compliance and assisted my transition to the modern sewerage system. Peter always kept me up to date on the work and timings. He regularly talked to me about options and listened to all my ideas – be them sensible or perhaps not. He is a very respectful person and easy to work with.

P & L Louttit Total Construction Services delivered the project in a timely manner and on budget, with all variations carefully worked through and agreed. I cannot recommend P & L Louttit Total Construction Services highly enough for any design and construction projects. Peter and Lee both, love the local region which shows in their passion for high quality and well-designed projects that can support the community and the future of the area".
